Welcome to the PUMA Creative Factory, where we supply the materials and you supply the imagination. This year we are partnering with Lumi to bring you the revolutionary Lumitype print process. Together we'll be taking photography out of the darkroom and using sunlight to print on sustainable materials.

The lumitype print process

Watch the video
www.lumi.co
Take a picture and turn it into a black and white negative. Take that picture to a photocopier and print it on a transparent film. Now you’ve got a hight density negative.
Find something to print on.
Apply a thin layer of the dye onto the material. It works best on natural fibres like cotton or silk. Take your negative and pin it right on top.
Here comes the amazing part!
Take all of this outside and watch the sun develop your print. The colour appears in about 10 minutes and becomes permanently fixed to the material.
There is just one more step.
Put your print in a washing machine, set to hot and use laundry detergent to remove any unexposed dye.
